On January 22, 2026, the Udvarhelyszék Cultural Awards were presented during a ceremonial gala evening in Székelyudvarhely (Odorheiu Secuiesc).
On this occasion, the Archaeology Department of the Haáz Rezső Museum received the Heritage Preservation Award. Among its leading contributors are Knight Dr. András Sófalvi and Dr. Zsolt Nyárádi, who have led significant archaeological excavations in Udvarhelyszék and the surrounding regions over the past decades. The award recognizes their dedicated and value-creating work in uncovering and preserving the cultural heritage of the region.
