Székelyudvarhely (Odorheiu Secuiesc), June 22–27, 2025

In June 2025, Székelyudvarhely hosted the 31st Dr. István Bárdos Summer University, organized by the Udvarhelyszék Priory of the Order of Saint George. Continuing a tradition of more than three decades, the event brought together participants interested in history, culture and community life. The Summer University is, in essence, a traveling international event of the Order of Saint George, extending beyond national borders, where the Scientific Section of the Order presents its work. On the one hand, renowned experts share the latest results of their research; on the other hand, the event provides an appropriate framework for the transmission of knowledge accumulated within the Order’s community.
Within the framework of the event, participants were offered professional lectures, historical and cultural programs, as well as community activities.
One of the most significant moments of the Summer University was the Investiture Ceremony, which took place in the Saint George Parish Church in Odorheiu Secuiesc, where 14 postulants took the knightly oath and joined the community of the Order.
